# What is NovaCont Lite?

NovaCont Lite is a lightweight version of NovaCont that runs on the TON blockchain and is accessed as a Telegram Mini App. It preserves the escrow logic of the main NovaCont protocol, but is optimized for the TON ecosystem and Telegram's fast, frictionless user experience.

### The Vision Behind NovaCont Lite

The main NovaCont runs on Base (an Ethereum L2) and requires a wallet extension or a Web3 browser. NovaCont Lite, on the other hand, was designed to reach Telegram's user base of over 900 million directly. Users can connect their wallet and complete escrow transactions through a single bot, without ever leaving Telegram.

NovaCont Lite is designed for people who want a practical way to handle escrow and to protect themselves in fast, everyday transactions. Freelancer and client groups who already do business through Telegram can use the app directly, without ever needing to step outside the platform. NovaCont Lite is a good fit if you are:

* Making fast, low-value agreements
* Already doing business through Telegram
* Part of the TON ecosystem
* A mobile-first user who doesn't want to deal with wallet extensions

NovaCont Lite does not currently include a jury system. Disputes are not reviewed by randomly selected, independent jurors as on the main NovaCont platform. Instead, they are reviewed and resolved manually by the NovaCont team. This is a deliberate design decision. On the TON side, simplicity is prioritized for a small-scale start.
